SFC is America's only nationwide grassroots advocacy organization for children. Their members take action at the national, state, community and neighborhood levels and propose advocacy from early childhood education to after-school programs and health services. There are 867, 789 children younger then 18 in Oregon. In four years SFC has effectively helped to secure a total of $84 million nationally for children's programs and services. The BHF grant will help fund staffing and support training of new neighborhood members.
